Dear Community Partner:
We, the Weavers of Nigeria, invite you to serve as a sponsor for our 2nd Annual Taste of Nigeria Festival, which will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2018, at the King Arts Complex in Columbus, Ohio. The Taste of Nigeria Festival is a fundraising event to support our goal of providing financial support, health supplies, clothing, and educational materials to schools, hospitals, and families, especially mothers and children. The event will introduce Columbus to Nigerian culture and will feature fashion, arts, cuisine, music, games, history, and fun for the entire family.
The name Weavers was inspired by the African Weaver Bird, which builds elaborate nests for its offspring using a variety of resources and materials, including leaves, grass, clothing, paper—anything that it can find. Just like the Weaver Bird, we find the best, use the best, share the best, and be the best for our children and our future. In doing so, we are committed to the concept of e pluribus unum—out of many, one.
As a 501(c) charitable organization, our beneficiaries include various charities in Nigeria, in the United States, and in other countries, including Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Ronald McDonald House Charities, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Haitian Relief, and Operation Smile.
The chart on the right lists the sponsorship levels that are available to our community partners. We believe that you share our mission to impact the lives of families and children in a positive manner, and with your financial support, we are looking forward to a successful event. We would appreciate a response by May 2, 2018.
